Hannah and Kyle shared a beautiful, modern, minimalist wedding at the Shinola Hotel in Detroit, Michigan. Weddings at Shinola Hotel are always stunning. It is a beautiful venue and always makes for an elegant event.

It was so easy to appreciate the simplicity of this wedding. Hannah and Kyle really focused on the guest experience when planning for the day. They wanted to share an event that their friends and family could look forward to and an experience they could never forget.

It seems as if every detail was planned with that in mind. The entertainment, the flowers, the 3-course meal all made the event a joy to attend.

In-the-Moment Luxury Wedding Photography

It was really important to Hannah and Kyle that they were present and able to enjoy their wedding. Sometimes couples are so busy during their day that they don’t even get to sit down to eat, let alone enjoy it. Hannah and Kyle wanted to enjoy their day.

They made it clear to me and my team that they didn’t want to spend hours taking posed portraits. They asked for a documentary style gallery. Hannah and Kyle wanted their day to be captured as it happened. We stepped outside for a few quick rooftop portraits and a couple quick snaps with their wedding party, which proved to be a blessing in the bone-chilling November cold. Ultimately, though, I snapped away as they got to enjoy each moment of the day. From the giggles of girls during the ceremony as adults covered their eyes during “the kiss”, to wearing the biggest smiles while dancing, to laughing and crying and toasting with their guests. Hannah and Kyle really valued those sweet moments together and with their friends and family.

Metro Detroit Wedding Photographer

Hannah and Kyle ended up having a chill, laidback wedding day. They lived in the moment, worry free. Their guests enjoyed themselves. Every detail of this wedding was clean and modern. Hannah and Kyle’s wedding practically started the 2023 trend of modern and minimalist weddings.
