The Details – Luxury Wedding Photography

On a VERY hot and sunny, but beautiful day, Emilie and Willie got married. I had the privilege of being their luxury wedding photography documentarian.

Every part of Emilie and Willie’s wedding felt classic, elegant, emotional, and altogether timeless. They had classic florals with white roses and complimentary greenery. Their vow books and invitation suite were beautiful. Emilie’s dress was elegantly detailed. Taking their luxury wedding photography was natural. Every detail was classic and elegant. Using light and composition techniques for their photos allowed me to be creative while genuinely documenting the day.

Getting Ready for the South Haven Michigan Wedding

You could feel the excitement exuding off of both Emilie and Willie as they prepared for their South Haven Michigan Wedding.

Willie had his friend, who is a barber, give him a fresh haircut the day of. It was such a cute moment between him and his friend. She had even left him a wedding day gift, a set of personalized cufflinks. They both put the utmost care into preparing themselves for this day. Emilie could be found popping some champagne and soaking in every moment.

Emilie and Willie’s Emotional Wedding Ceremony

Very rarely are there weddings where every single person in the room is emotional. It is very special to be surrounded by so many people that just overflow with happiness for you. Emilie and Willie got to have one of those rare, special days.

Their ceremony was SO emotional. Happy tears coming from every direction. Willie seeing Emilie walk down the aisle. Then, Emilie seeing Willie SEE HER walking down the aisle. The mother of the bride, the mother of the groom, the maid of honor, the best man—joy was pouring out of absolutely everyone. Looking back through the photos, you can feel it.

Emilie took everyone’s breath away as she walked down the aisle. You can see the moment that it hit Willie. These two are deeply, genuinely in love.

They both had each other choking up and smiling wide at each other’s vows. The guests were gazing intentionally and loving every second. The world stopped for a second as they shared their first kiss as Mr. and Mrs. They cheered and danced along with their guests as they strolled back down the aisle together, off to dot the i’s and cross the t’s.

The emotion of this day was one of the most beautiful, intense things to experience as the photographer. Joy and happiness flooded their open-air ceremony and lingered contently through the night.

Elegant Bride and Groom Portraits – Michigan Wedding Photographer

At golden hour, we traipsed around the venue’s acreage to take portraits. We captured some of my favorite photos of the year with their portraits. I planned lots of timeless shots for them. I wanted their portraits to fully feel like them. In addition to the classic, posed moments we captured sweet, twinkling candids.

Every part of the luxury wedding photography experience should feel that way. Even in the editing, I included a plethora of black and white along with photos in color. Their gallery ended up feeling rich, emotional, elegant, and altogether like them. The collection goes way beyond what I could possibly share with you here, for a detailed account of their wedding day.

The Reception at Black River Barn – Luxury Wedding Photography

Emilie and Willie’s ceremony and reception was at Black River Barn in South Haven Michigan. The venue itself was very elegant with gorgeous chandeliers and windows pouring in natural light at every angle. This isn’t a rustic barn, this is a very elegant barn. I almost wouldn’t even call it a barn wedding venue. It is light and open and a wonderful shell for a beautiful day.

Then, the couple sauntered in and lovingly shared their first dance together. Next, they each shared a dance with their mothers. Emilie and her mother shared an emotional dance that they will remember forever. Willie and his mom shared the cutest dance that I know, that if nothing else, I will remember forever. Willie’s mom can DANCE. Both were beautiful to be in the presence of.

The maid of honor and best man genuinely may have given the best speeches I have ever heard. Even as someone that isn’t deeply involved in this couple’s lives, I could tell they were the perfect things to say. They both put in a deep amount of effort into preparing what they had to say about Emilie and Willie. These speeches were so thoughtful, so funny, so enjoyable, they even had me tearing up.

Finally, the wedding party gathered to send the couple off with a sparkler exit. A beautiful end to a beautiful day.

It is one of my greatest joys to be able to take part in days like these. This one was absolutely beautiful to witness, truly. Cheers to a long, happy life for Emilie and Willie!
