When Alex and Matt inquired they were envisioning an outdoor engagement photoshoot that showcased the urban flair of Downtown Detroit. They selected our Classic Engagement Session Package and curated two looks for their engagement session: a more formal ensemble for Parker’s Alley and a more casual look for meandering the city and catching sunset on the rooftop of the Z Lot Garage.

Parker’s Alley

We began their session in Parkers Alley near The Shinola Hotel in their more formal attire. Alex wore a stunning cream satin dress that radiated sophistication, while Matt complemented her in khaki dress pants and a crisp white dress shirt. 

Parker’s Alley is always one of my favorite locations for lifestyle city sessions, but this particular session was extra special, because little did we know that Parker’s Alley was the home to vibrant floral installations from local artists for the week as well. The unexpected beauty of the floral creations added an elegant touch, transforming the alley into a whimsical backdrop that perfectly complemented Alex and Matt’s images.

Z Lot Garage Rooftop

We meandered the downtown city streets and made our way to the Z Lot Garage Rooftop just in time to watch the sun dip below the skyline. Their second look was a more casual affair, with Alex in black jeans, a stylish black sweater, and black heels, effortlessly exuding urban chic and Matt in khaki dress pants, a sleek black sweater, and polished black dress shoes. Together, they painted the perfect portrait of modern romance with a touch of contemporary flair.
